Membership Requirements
Before a company can be considered for membership by The Internet Trade Commission they must meet the following requirements:
1. The first step to being approved by The Internet Trade Commission is to ask a customer of your company that you have provided goods or services for to submit your company for review. At this point and time we will do a review of your website for any deceptive advertising or claims we feel may be false. (If your web site passes our review).
2. We will most likely contact your company pretending to be interested in your goods or services. We do this on order to get a feel for the level of professionalism offered from your customer services agents.
3. If your company passes the preliminary investigation an email will be sent directly to the company as an invitation to become a member. We may or may not depending on your industry make a follow up phone call to inform you of you invitation.
4. We will then request a copy of any and all licenses pertaining to your industry.
5. We will also need a copy of a utility bill to show the physical address of your business.
6. The name and contact information of a principal member of the corporation or sole proprietorship.
7. Be in compliance with any and all governing agencies of your industry.
8. Not have any current legal or government actions against the corporation or sole proprietorship.
9. Conduct business with the highest ethical standards of your industry to uphold the integrity of the Internet Trade Commission’s standards of excellence.
10. Provide your customers with adequate client support to include phone numbers and email contact for after hour concerns.
